Christy and Tyler: The Ned, London

A day so awaited for and special, it had to line up with the same weekend as the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee! June 4th, 2022.

I first chatted with Christy and Tyler in March 2020 for their wedding which would take place in September of that year… well, plans changed (a couple times!), and last summer we finally got to celebrate them in the city. Christy and Tyler travelled from the States with their friends and families to celebrate at The Ned hotel. They, along with their guests, were some of the kindest, warmest people I’ve gotten to capture. The day was so much fun and it felt so special getting to finally have this day for them.

The whole day took place at The Ned - a serious dream venue to photograph at of mine (let me tell you… it lived up to the expectation x 1000) - across different rooms and floors. Christy and Tyler decided to do a first look before their ceremony — a moment for just the two of them. The ceremony was held in The Saloon - a beautifully room with a grand chandelier. Some special moments: Christy’s grandmother played the piano during the procession, stunningly may I add! The ceremony was performed by their close friends, and they exchanged personal vows that had people reaching for their tissues :”)

Cocktail hour was held overlooking the city and soaking up the sunshine at the terrace, whilst the reception moved us over to the iconic Tapestry Room. Entering the room with candles lighting up two long tables took my breath away! After a gorgeous meal and special speeches, the evening brought us back to The Saloon for their evening dancing!

It was so special getting to finally celebrate C & T and I cannot wait to share their day below!

Some seriously kind words from Tyler:

Look at it this way; it's been about two months since our wedding and just for fun, I reopened the gallery for a little stroll down memory lane. I'm tearing up and smiling ear to ear because Alba's photos are allowing me, right this instant, to relive the happiest and most joyful day of my entire life.

More specifically, her talent for catching the right moments from the right viewpoint is remarkable. We have shots that could never have been scripted or orchestrated beforehand but which will go down as some of our very favorites.

Alba was a joy to work with. She was responsive through the planning process, in spite of our difference in time zones, she listened to our vision for how we wanted the day and night to feel, and she executed on the plan flawlessly.

I don't really consider myself a very sentimental person but I know that these photos will live among my most cherished possessions for as long as I live.

Highly recommend Alba for your special event and Alba, if you're reading this... THANK YOU.
